I got a lot of grief from some girlfriends after today's show. A couple of them called and told me that I need to stop saying that it's my job to make Darren a sammich and get him a beer while he watches the game. They agreed with Mike when he said I set women back when I say stuff like that. Whatevs!

Valentine's Day is this Sunday, and those very same brats(!) will be making their men's lives heck if they don't come through with some bling or a really high end designer purse, and why? Because it's the guy's job to get us bling or a really high end designer purse because Valentine's Day is all about us girls! Ummmmm, then why can't Super Bowl Sunday be all about the guys? Or for that matter, any other day when he is hanging with his homies in the man cave?
And What Does Love Got To Do With A Sammich And A Beer?

Women have fought long and hard to be dealt with fairly in relationships with men, but along the way, we seem to have lost our sense of fair play with our men. If we expect guys to remember to send us flowers, help with chores around the house, and hold our really high end designer purses while we shop, then we better step up to the plate and do a little for them, too! That means no griping when he asks for a sammich and a beer. This is not an invitation to be jerks, fellas! If your lady is going to do the whole 'little woman' thing, you have to be respectful while she's scratching that itch for you!

So the next time I say it's a woman's place to get her man a sammich and a beer, don't hate! If you listen to the show, you know that Mike is always saying I'm a man in a woman's body! I strongly believe in strong women who can take care of themselves. I just also happen to believe that taking care of my man is also a sign of strength - the strength to show him, and everyone else around him, that he is the most important thing in my life.

BTW, the next time you see me out, check out my purse. Woohoo!

Couldn't have said it better myself! I'll drink to that TRISH. When it comes to politics I'm not a big fan of your comments...but when it comes to men, you take the words right out of my mouth. Happy Valentines Day Trish. RG
